For many people nowadays, a stay in Great Britain is more or less habitual in their lives. Here at the Chamber we offer several supportive guides and sources of information to help people wishing to spend some time working in Great Britain, allowing them to improve their knowledge of the language and cultural awareness.
-We publish a guide called "Recherche de stage et Jobs en Grande Bretagne", which is an excellent base for information and practical advice on finding a job or a work placement in Great Britain. Priced at 16,10€ (including 1€ postage fee). To order click on Publications in the menu on the left.
-A list is available from the Chamber of the 100 largest companies in Great Britain priced at 17,94€ (postage included), the list also exists for the 300 largest companies, priced at 59.80€ (postage included)
-A consultation of the Yellow Pages and the British version of Kompass where you can search either according to business sector or by region is also possible. A consultation in our library costs 10€ and the opening hours are Monday and Wednesday 2pm until 5.30pm and Friday 2pm until 5pm.
-Another source of information is our Members Directory-the Trade Directory. We have around 800 members in total including both Small to Medium enterprises and Multinationals. http://www.francobritishchambers.com/members.asp
-Amongst our members there are organisations whose role it is to help you find a work placement along with accommodation and many other services, these you will find under the members section and 'Schools/Séjours linguistique/Workplacement agencies'.
